The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) are currently working on a project to update the Digital Maternity Record Standard – a collaborative project with NHS England which aims to support the improvement priorities outlined in the Three year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services. The standard is being updated to support better information sharing during pregnancy, birth and post-natal care to help women, people using maternity services and their babies whilst also helping clinicians manage care better and improve the services they deliver.
PRSB develop information standards for use in health to support better record keeping and information sharing which leads to better care.
They are really keen to involve people with a diverse range of pregnancy experiences and would like to invite families supported by CMV to join the consultation by attending their events and workshops this January.
They are holding a series of workshops with people who use maternity services during the week of January 8 followed by webinars in the two weeks after (Jan 16-25) that will include clinicians/professionals working in maternity services, people using services including their families, organisations that represent communities, our members and partners, IT system suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Public workshops for women and people who use maternity services will take place between Monday 8 and Thursday 11 January
- Multidisciplinary webinars for professionals working with or in maternity services, women and people who use maternity services and IT system suppliers will take place between Tuesday 16 and Thursday 25 January
