It’s Sign Language Week (18th – 24th March 2024)
We #kNOwCMV. We know how vital communication is. What this looks like can vary from family to family depending on their particular needs and we celebrate all of these methods. This week we are supporting Sign Language week and will be spotlighting some amazing CMV families who have chosen Sign Language as part of their communication. We’re looking forward to celebrating the use not only of British Sign Language but also Auslan and American Sign Language this week and these are just three of over three hundred sign languages world wide!
We #kNOwCMV. We know Sign Language is not always an option for CMV children but we also know that for many Deaf or Hard of Hearing children it is a huge part of their identity and culture and we are proud to support the use of Sign Language for CMV families where possible and appropriate.
