At CMV Action, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. By giving your time, skills and passion, you can help support those affected by congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) and raise vital awareness of this little known about virus.

Why Volunteer with Us?

cCMV is the most common infection passed from mother to unborn baby, yet many people have never heard of it. By volunteering with CMV Action, you’ll play a crucial role in driving awareness, supporting families and individuals and helping behind the scenes of our small but mighty charity.  Whether you have an hour a week or can help at a one-off event, your contribution makes a real impact.

Volunteer Roles

We have a range of volunteer opportunities to suit your time, skills, and interests, including:

  • WhatsApp Community Moderators – Help us build a safe and supportive space by managing and engaging with members in our dedicated WhatsApp Community.
  • Fundraising Champions – Organise or support local fundraising events.
  • CMV Connect Volunteers – be a part of our vital support services for families and individuals navigating cCMV
  • Professional Outreach – Act as an ambassador for CMV Action at healthcare conferences and other awareness events.
