This Christmas, we’re celebrating connection.

The kind that brings comfort, strength, and hope to families affected by congenital CMV (cCMV).

Our Christmas Connect campaign is all about shining a light on our incredible CMV community.

We recently launched the CMV Connect project, a new way of offering support for individuals and families affected by cCMV, tailored to their needs.    We’ve been blown away by how our community have come together and want to celebrate those special connections this Christmas time.

💫 How you can take part

Join the campaign and help us fill this Christmas with messages of love, hope and connection.

  1. *Share your festive photo  – We want to see your Christmas jumpers, twinkling trees, family smiles, whatever makes your Christmas bright, we’d love to see it.
  2. Add a short message of hope, gratitude, or support for those individuals and families affected by cCMV.
  3. Share your post on social media, tagging @CMVAction and using #ChristmasConnectforCMV and #CMVConnect,
    or email your photo and message to us directly – fundraising@cmvaction.org.uk

We’ll be sharing your images and messages across our social channels and on our Christmas Connect Gallery, spreading warmth and connection all season long.

Give a Gift this Christmas Time

Help us to keep CMV Connect running in 2026, so no one has to face CMV alone

A gift to CMV Action this Christmas will help us build connection, community, and hope for families affected by CMV.

Through CMV Connect, we’re changing the way we support families – creating safe spaces for connection, information, and understanding. Already, we’re making a real difference:

But there’s still so much more to do…

Our current funding for CMV Connect runs out in early 2026  and with your help, we can keep this program running and grow our services.  Your funding will help fund:

  • Regular online and face-to-face support sessions – £10 helps fund a support session or online meet-up for a family
  • Grow our community so no individual, parent, caregiver or family member ever feels isolated – £25 supports our CMV Connect services for one day
  • Launch  CMV Awareness campaigns targeted at midwives and early years practitioners, helping more professionals recognise and prevent CMV – £50 will support the development of CMV Awareness resource packs and information

Together, we can make sure every family facing CMV has the support and information they need, when they need it most.

Festive Connect: Thank You for Joining Us

Our Festive Connect event has now taken place, and we want to thank everyone who joined us. It was a warm and supportive session, bringing our community together at a meaningful time of year.

We’ll be hosting more online sessions in the new year to continue supporting and connecting families affected by CMV.

Festive Connect: A Seasonal Online Get-Together for CMV Families

Join us on Tuesday 2nd December for a relaxed and friendly online session as our community comes together for a bit of festive connection in the lead-up to the holidays. This is an informal space for CMV families to meet others who understand, share experiences, and enjoy some light-hearted conversation at what can be a busy and emotional time of year.
