Hope for Change – Raising awareness of CMV in Midwifery

By November 25, 2024No Comments

Congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) is the most common infection passed from mother to baby during pregnancy, yet it remains alarmingly under-recognised, even among healthcare professionals. To address this, CMV Action is proud to feature an article in the British Journal of Midwifery highlighting the story of Hope, the inspiring face of our 2024 Christmas campaign. Hope’s journey not only raises awareness of CMV but also emphasizes the critical role medical professionals play in preventing and managing this condition. By sharing her story, we aim to empower midwives and healthcare providers with the knowledge to support families and help reduce the impact of CMV.

If you’re a health professional seeking more information about CMV and how you can help raise awareness, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’re here to support you with resources, guidance, and expertise
