Trustee Recruiting

Help us Raise Awareness, Help us Change Lives

We are recruiting to a number of voluntary positions to join our Board of Trustees

We are a successful, national charity with a mission of limiting the devastating impact of congenital CMV (cytomegalovirus) for those currently affected and for future generations.
We do this by offering advice and support to anyone affected by congenital CMV and by working with medical professionals, supporting research and raising awareness of the virus.
Whether you’ve had experience as a Trustee before, or you are wanting to take your first step at Board level, we want to hear from you.

Ideally, our new Trustees will have skills in one or more of the following areas:
Social media
Training and presentations
Organisation / administration
PR and Campaigning
Personal experience
As a Trustee you will have:
Induction, training and reimbursable expenses
Opportunities to develop new skills
Influence to shape innovative projects and the future of the organisation
Support from friendly colleagues on the Board
The expected time commitment is three Trustee meetings per year (held in London on a Saturday between 10.30 am and 3.00 pm approximately) and a monthly one-hour evening telephone conference call, as well as some ad hoc committee work depending upon your interests.

If you are interested, we would love to hear from you.
Please respond to with a little information about your background and what you feel you could offer to CMV Action by no later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2019.

If you would like an informal chat with Sharon, or any one of our Trustees, to get a feel of what the role entails, please email Sharon in the first instance and she will arrange this.
