On Tuesday 23rd August Little Jack Horners Day Nursery in Etwall, Derbyshire held a Big Pants Day to raise funds. Children attending the nursery had a fun day participating in sports activities and games. They decorated a huge pair of pants and invited all parents to attend their event.
They raised £475 for their efforts which was donated to CMV Action.
Nursery owners Julie and David Oakton are family friends of Gail and Mick Bamblett whose grandson, Calum Tomlinson was born deaf due to CMV. They were hoping to raise awareness of CMV with the parents and with the help of the local press, the Derby Evening Telegraph and the Burton Mail, who both published short articles and photographs about the event and the charity. A job well done!!
