Going Deaf for Deaf Day
Sunday, March 8, 2015 - 08:00 to 20:00
Lucy Sammons, Hannah Bearder and one of our members, Julie Stansfield, raised money for NDCS and CMV Action by 'going' deaf for a day on the 8th March in an attempt to experience deafness for themselves. They spent the day shopping, catching buses, etc. to experience the difficulties often faced by the deaf.

Julie chose the idea as 4 year old twin boys are profoundly deaf as a result of CMV and she said she wanted to understand what they will experience as they grow older.

Here is what the girls said:

Brilliant weekend and we managed to raise just over £800 for ‪#‎cmvaction‬ and ‪#‎ndcs‬ ‪#‎nationaldeafchildrenssociety‬ ‪#‎fundraising‬ ‪#‎charity‬ Thank you to everyone who donated and joined us on our day!!!
