Great Skipton Santa Fun Run

Sunday, November 28, 2021 - 11:00

Lucy Roberts & her step Dad Johnny will be donning their Santa suits and taking part in the 5k Skipton Santa Fun Run on Sunday 28th November. Although she says it’s not a big run, it is going towards a cause which is very close to her and her family’s hearts…her youngest son, Ruben, was diagnosed with congenital cmv in October 2020. Although her family have been affected quite severely by CMV, she says her son is the happiest little boy who brings joy to everyone who meets him. His smile lights up a room.

On the last Sunday in November of each year since 2010, the streets and footpaths of Skipton have been turned red by those who are taking part in The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run

This annual event organised by the Rotary Club of Skipton Craven and supported by Skipton Town Council, Craven District Council and Skipton Business District kicks off the Christmas festivities and is a precursor to the switching on of the Christmas lights in Skipton. We cant wait to see pictures of this one!

Lucy wants to help us to raise the profile of CMV, which will help us achieve our ultimate goal- educate, vaccinate, eradicate.  You can support Lucy and her step dad by donating here
