Great North Run - Team Wren

Sunday, September 12, 2021 - 15:15

Team Wren are running in the 40th Great North Run half marathon to raise money for two charities that have supported Wren and other disabled children.

Wren was born with cerebral palsy as a result of a viral infection during her development in the womb. Cytomegalovirus damaged her developing brain leaving Wren unable to sit, walk or talk. Wren needs help with every aspect of daily life and relies on specialist equipment to help her access activities and experiences.

Fundraising for CMV Action and the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund- they feel these wonderful charities continue to support families in need and in return want to complete a gruelling half marathon to support them right back. Any donations would be gratefully received but a share, a 'like' or any encouragement would be lovely too. (They're also willing to accept costume suggestions!)
