This is Penny, my daughter! At 8 days old we were told she had contracted CMV in the last trimester of pregnancy! We had never heard of this despite working with young children nor the effects that it could have on her! My pregnancy was complicated even before the CMV diagnosis with lots of trips to Alder Haye! However, at 2 and a half she is thriving. She has unilateral hearing and some sensory issues around eating/food but so far she is doing well! It was a lot to take in at first and soon found ur website which I use and share posts to help raise awareness amongst my friends and family, a lot of whom also work with children!
