2019 02 - Public Health England Dried Blood Spot Meeting

CMV Action attended a round table discussion day regarding the proposal to limit the retention of dried blood spots.  The meeting, arranged by Public Health England, involved eminent clinicians, audiologists, researchers and patient representative organisations, all keen to put forward the need to keep DBS cards for CMV diagnostic purposes, preferably, for up to 20 years.

Lots of helpful data presented and lots of points discussed and the Chair, David Elliman, will collate evidence to put forward a report of recommendations in due course.  We will bring you more news when this is received.
