Spreading the word to professionals about CMV

Our Secretary wrote an article that was published in the BATOD (British Association of Teachers of the Deaf) magazine in the March 2013 issue entitled ‘What do you know about Cytomegalovirus’. CMV Action flyers were inserted in every copy that is distributed to Teachers of the Deaf. With a few adjustments this was then published in the BSA (British Society of Audiologists) journal in April 2013 entitled ‘Cytomegalovirus and Deafness’ along with our flyers.  From there we received some correspondence from audiologists and a request for an update on research and current practice.   Click on the following link to read Jan Pearman's CMV Article for Audacity. This has resulted in an article that was published in September 2013 in ‘Audacity’, the new journal for audiologists entitled ‘Congenital CMV: current and future research in the UK’.  This was written by Seilesh Kadambari and Mike Sharland from the Paediatric Infectious Disease Research Group at St. George’s Hospital in London.
