In June, newly-formed charity www.cmvaction.org.uk will be holding its first-ever awareness month. Although charity awareness months are common place these days, CMV definitely needs its profile raising. Despite the fact CMV affects 1 in 1000 babies in the UK, very few people seem to know of it and, more worryingly, its damaging potential.
