  • Hear the latest breakthroughs from CMV experts
  • Share your ideas and experiences with CMV scientists, physicians and public health officials
Organisers have published the following announcement: "We are pleased to announce the upcoming CMV 2012 meeting to be held in San Francisco, California from Monday October 29 through Friday November 2, 2012.  To most efficiently promote the advancement of CMV-based research and to develop novel research, clinical, and public health strategies broadly targeting CMV, the Congenital CMV Conference and the International CMV/Betaherpesvirus Workshop are jointly holding a combined meeting. Entitled CMV 2012, the meeting will be held at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, California.  The historical areas of focus of both the Congenital CMV Conferences and the International CMV/Betaherpesvirus Workshop will be well represented at CMV 2012. The program agenda for CMV 2012 is now available here . A major impetus for combining the two meetings is to provide a cost-effective mechanism for maximizing scientific interactions while minimizing the costs to the attendees. Registration and Abstract submission are now available here as are further links to the city of San Francisco Bay, the meeting venue site, and transportation options within San Francisco. CME credits, arranged in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, will be available through the sponsorship of the Centers for Disease Control. We look forward to your participation in CMV 2012 in the beautiful city of San Francisco. We have planned for exciting sessions advancing the prevention, treatment, and understanding of CMV infection and disease, as well as opportunities to enjoy some of the culture of San Francisco. In addition, San Francisco is an excellent start for your visit to some of the best features of California, including the Sonoma and Napa wine regions, Lake Tahoe and the Sierra mountains, and the beautiful California coast". CMV 2012 Co-Chairs Lenore Pereira, Peter Barry, and Debbie Spector
